This part is for a press fit application on precision ground rod stock, circular to better than 0.001″ TIR, with the whole part slightly eccentric on the shaft. Compared to 1018, consider that 1045 has over double the carbon content of 1018 (0.45% vs 0.18%) and Machinability of 1045 is 19% compared to 1018’s 35%. Aluminum soft jaw also machined on the 1610L. c.n.c. dash kit cut with a Shoda – Fanuc AKA OLD SCHOOL LOL
work in a c.n.c. shop and i got bord so i made a dash kit for my 2002 vw gti. i work with the shoda all day programing it and cuting parts out for a cabnit shop but that gets lame so i make stuff like this ween aver i get a day to my self i well put up more soon :p
